Our study of analogous colors was starting to becoming a little dry --- no pun intended --- what with our chalk pastels and all. Then we started to make drawings of Owls and it really just took off . The students created their owls using a single primary color base for example red , yellow or blue then they continued to fill in their pastel paintings with detail and layers of color that are analogous to the chosen primary base color -- like orange , or purple. These are truly lovely and joyful portraits of Owls :) Wonderful!!
I love these! Hoot!
