WHOA!!!!!!
These horses are just beautiful! The students in the 3rd grade classes studied analogous color schemes during the 1st trimester. While using chalk pastels, we explored color in painting and drawing. The students learned how to draw a horse in motion; then created their running horses on large paper. The students then chose a color scheme that was analogous to a primary base color -for example the yellow color family, red color family or blue color family. After making their choice the students painted in their drawings using chalk pastel. To culminate our work, we reflected on the process of creating horses through writing an artists statement. Wonderful work!!!
